Attention:

It is not necessary for you to set up as a Point.

Considering all the people who are leaving Fidonet, the "rulez" have become
rather relaxed -- you don't have to be a point from someone else's system;
you can become a full fledged Fidonet member, have you own (private) system
(it's called a Mail Only system) with an unlisted phone number.  You only
need to find someone who will "feed" you the echo areas and file echo areas
that you want.
