 Perhaps. It depends on the Hard Drive controller on the Mb.
Besides needing a controller needing more then 28-bit addressing
space(Which yuo0r 1.8 Tiger may or may not have) Western Digital implies
that a driver is necessary for larger then 137 Gig drives under WinXP
and prior. MS may have taken care of that one in one of the service
packs. 
Check the web site for the Hard Drive you are going to be using for any
instructions for over 137 Gig hard drives.
