You're kidding right? "You NEVER had a problem ... except when
.... the ... tab broke off or became distorted." Isn't that a
problem?

If you used a laptop and traveled frequently (bi-weekly) so
that plugging/unplugging of the USB cables was also frequent
you would discover just how shabby the USB connector really is.
