Subj : back in business To : AUGUST ABOLINS From : CHARLES ANGELICH Date : Tue Jan 04 2005 01:05 am 123c4753c727 windows Hello August - CA>> I'm guessing that you didn't notice I mentioned 'other OS' CA>> such as OBERON? I don't want to be limited to what OS I CA>> can use/test here by something as inconsequential as a CA>> modem. AA> True.. I don't recall seeing that part. But I thought AA> Oberon was a programming language, not an OS. OBERON is _both_ the OS and the programming language OBERON is written in. Difficult to describe but OBERON installs with it's own compiler and you can rewrite the operational system and reload without a reboot. The UI is graphical and doubles as it's browser. You don't 'load' a browser you simply connect to the internet and the 'desktop' becomes a browser. I occasionally like to experiment with older DOS legacy software as well and a USB modem isn't going to make that possible. AA> Sorry. Nothing to be sorry about. My brevity should not be mistaken for angst. I'm OK with your replies, you are trying to be helpful and I appreciate that. :-) > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > <| |> __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ....
