I'm not sure how or why but things like winmodems and other 'win' only hardware used to annoy _everyone_. Apparently I'm in the minority of people who will try a different OS now and then or use legacy software just for the nostalgia 'kick'? From a purely mechanical standpoint I have found many computers where the USB connectors are loose fitting and I never liked the looks of the USB connector since I first saw one. Looks like a glorified telephone RJ-11 connector to me (and I hate those as well).
