The 56SX-92 is listed in the compatibilty chart site that I told you about in a 
previous message.  There are a lot of resources at your fingertips to identify 
a Linux-supported modem of any kind (USB, PCI, External..etc..).  Your nerves 
would be better off using those resources than complaining about a disclaimer 
on modem packaging.
