Subj : limited to USB 1? To : TOM WALKER From : WAYNE CHIRNSIDE Date : Fri Dec 31 2004 02:04 pm -> -> -> Why are you limited to USB 1? You can get USB 2 adapters, with drivers, for -> -> -> under $10 USD (at Tiger). -> -> -> Yup sure can. -> -> I'd need a slot stretcher however as the sound card and BIOS'ed -> -> greater than 34 Gig I/O card and sound card take them all. -> -> Hewlett Packard Pavilion. -> -> IF one stays away from External CD/DVD burners and Large 500K to 1 gig -> file transfers to the USB device one can live with USB-1 quite easily. -> I use my 256Mb USB flash drive frequently on a USB-1 machine, The one I -> am using right now. And I am happy. -> I also use my USB 4 gig hard drive once i na while. I just have to wait -> a bit longer for the files to transfer. I could live with OVERNIGHT backups to an external hard drive. But that's just going to have to wait a bit. Right now I'm in gravy anyway. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
