 I suspectr it is. And looking at soem Specifications o nhte internet
for USB modems I saw NO call aspeificly for a USB-2 port.
Adn soince the USB specificatoins requires Backward Compatability and
HONEST manfacturer woulkd only sell Backward Compatable Devices. 
OF course there are some severe limitations when running some Devices,
Particaulrly Hard Drives and CD Burners. I an personnaly testify that it
seems like it takes Forever to transfer several gigs of data from my USB
hard drive to a Computer when connected to a USB-1 port as comparired to
when it is connected to a USB-2 port.
