Went to www.bestdata.com and their manuals page returns document not 
found but several dealers say rs-232 serial cable connected ( model
56SX-92).

Doesn't say what type rs-232, db-9 or db-25 cable at one end.

Reviews on circuit city's web site pan the modem but I attribuite most
of the reviews to purchasers lack of knowledge, Linux users of Redhat
7.2 and 8 are very happy with it as are some Windows users.
