Priced at 50 dollars. -> I suppose I could go with a jumpered internal modem but I have -> 'toyed' with other OS (OBERON for one) and would like to have a -> simple serial port modem rather than have to struggle to get -> the modem recognized by the OS. Went to www.bestdata.com and their manuals page returns document not found but several dealers say rs-232 serial cable connected ( model 56SX-92). Doesn't say what type rs-232, db-9 or db-25 cable at one end. Reviews on circuit city's web site pan the modem but I attribuite most of the reviews to purchasers lack of knowledge, Linux users of Redhat 7.2 and 8 are very happy with it as are some Windows users. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
