My BIOS craps out at 34 Gig.
When I'm feeling better I'm going to try to track annonymous down
and return the favor in some way.

Nope, original software complete with registration keys.
Seems the problem must be Win 98 must see IRQ 14.

Problem is the software is on CD and the Promise card lacks ATAPI
support.
Linux sees the drive as being /dev/hde

That and another version CD that comes with "Point and Click Linux"
published Nov. 2004. It's got Mozilla 1.0 and Skype.

More than enough.
Later releases of Knoppix and the CD that accompanies the above
mentioned book may render Windows moot as they're up to speed now.
"Point and Click Linux" with CD available at Barnes and Noble
for 23 dollars.
