Subj : New Router To : JAY EMRIE From : THURSTON ACKERMAN Date : Wed Dec 01 2004 12:06 am JE>TW>-> I failed to mention that the LinkSys WAP had TWO antennas and the D-Li JE>TW>-> has only ONE and still the D-Link WIFI covers a greater distance. JE>TW> That makes it even more Interesting. But It does take a Higher Quanlity JE>TW>unit to Transmit and Recieve on the Same Antenna. JE>By that reckoning, then the D-Link is of higher quality than the JE>LinkSys!!! VBG I am not sure how this thread started but I sense you all may be impressed that my daughter (the retired photo-journalist) bought a Belkin 11g fast wireless router with her new H-P laptop and used the Wizard supplied to install it on my old CompUSA box (with win98se OS) with considerable satisfaction (including one phone call the Belkin tech support when one configuration didn't "work out of the box") during her Thanksgiving visit with us. I must proudly admit I was quite impressed with her management of the this installation and think she will probably equally manage installing the Belkin WIF NIC PC card in her H-P desktop when she receives it. I hope I may have as much good fortune when I get around to installing the WIF Motorola set I got for my SOHO. I will keep you all posted.
