Subj : Dead Phone LIne. To : JAY EMRIE From : ART TAIT Date : Sun Nov 28 2004 11:54 am Jay, I once ran into a somewhat simular situation. I had installed an extension line for my sister in law. In the process I had come up with one might call a junction box in a dark corner of the basement. A couple of months later, when we chanced to stop by, she complained that the phones were not working. Taking my extension out of the system fixed the problem. When I opened up my junction box it was full of spider webs. After cleaning everything up and plugging in the extension line, the the phones were back in working order. Apparently, the spider webs had been shorting the wires together. Cleaning out the connections is the only thing that I did. Could well be that you have a dirty connection somewhere. Dont know if this will help but my heart is in the right place (G) Art .... "Could you continue your petty bickering?
