You will need printer drivers on the laptop... but in most cases, when you first locate the printer across the network, Windows offers to copy over the drivers from the printer-sharing system. This doesn't always work-- particularly if you've got very different operating system versions on the two systems, but it can be a real time-and-effort saver.
