It would certainly explain why Verizon would go to the trouble to develop a fiber-optic DSL network, as in Charles' area. Streaming live media, even high definition, over the internet connection would be possible, but at what cost? ;-) It also raises speculation about what the computer would do with that data, that the conventional hardware being sold by the cable and satellite companies now cannot do.
