From what I was told by a friend who works for the Treasury Department, it's still heavily used by them and in a lot of ATMs. IBM just signed a multi-million dollar OS/2 support contract with the Treasury Department-but if you're asking me for specifics, I can't give them unless I go look at the statistics. I know for a fact that Sears uses OS/2-I supported 200 OS/2 machines at their call center complex in Round Rock, Texas for about eight months. I was one of two OS/2 techs, out of 2500 people at that complex... and I wasn't even the "official" one! The "official" one got sick one Monday... Tuesday, I was approached by the site manager asking if I would mind getting off the phones and doing some work... I spent the rest of the week installing printer drivers on all of the computers! Easy way to make $17 an hour. :) But I digress... I am really busy for the next week with work, but I will try to remember and get some supporting facts for you. If you don't hear from me in two or three days, just send me a gentle reminder in netmail and I'll try to do it. I work at Target for the holidays and starting on Monday, we'll be open to midnight. Knowing my luck, I'll be stuck there until midnight, then have to get up at 4 AM to take my wife to work... then I'll be sleeping until 9-10 AM, get up, get her at 11 AM, then head off to work at about 1 PM... so that leaves very little time for email/netmail/echomail or even to work on my "new" BBS machine/setup...
