->         "Normally", these wires are grouped as: Power-D2+,D2-,Grd and
->  the same for D3. I do not have my reference here so you will have to
->  ask somebody else. This information I found on a MoBo data sheet.

 And since there is NO MB standard some pins, Typicaly there are 10 pins
but only 8 active, are i ntwo rows of 5 each. the tricky part and the
reason you need the Exact MB bookles is that some have the pin 1 next
to each other in the two rows and others have the Pin 1 on opposite
corners of the Two rows.
Once you have located the Pin 1's the order is:

VCC
USBP0-
USBP0+
Gnd
NC or Gnd
