Well not everyone and everywhere. :)

But when the cost of the OS is half again the cost of the hardware, I find it 
no surprise that some people can only afford the hardware and not the OS.

It may not be right, but I think it expected.

Microsoft could continue to make stupid profits if the scaled down the price of 
the OS a bit.
