My visits to Thailand and other third world countries made me aware of  
one fact very clearly:  They consist of "those who have" and "those who 
have next to nothing".  It's the "those who have" who own the computers, 
cars, TVs, and nice homes.  And they certainly DO NOT give gifts to the 
"those who have next to nothing".
