That has been a real sore point between the Thirld Wrold Countries and
Microsoft. It is particualrly bad i nthe  Far East. MS in their Arrogant
unbending quest for Money up untill recently Ignored theri ples for
reasonable cost versions. That was the Incentive to set up the Pirating
Factories. Adn I am NOT talking about soem Computer Kid making CD-R
copies i nhis bedroom. I am talking about Full Factories using the same
equipment they do is this country to make commercial Software CD's.
 MS thouhg has finaly seen the light and has ffor a few Far East
countries has released, IN their Natiave Tounge ONLY, a "Lite Version of
therir operating system and some other software. I believe the price
converted into Dollars was about $25 for "WinXP Lite".
Don't recall what features were cliped out though.
