Subj : Doc's Place To : TOM WALKER From : CHARLES ANGELICH Date : Tue Oct 04 2005 03:54 pm 123c7cfabf1f win95 Hello Tom - TW>>> I find doc's Place down quite a bit more then Normal. Is TW>>> anyone else having a prolbemm. And can some one recommend TW>>> a good Internet FIDO BBS. JE>> If you are using: http://www.docsplace.com/ JE>> and do not like it, try this: JE>> http://www.docsplace.org/ JE>> You might like it. TW> Taht is his old Log on I used it for a while. Then I was TW> redirected to the .com log in. BUT they Both go to the same TW> place and it it is Down it is Down. Alan Zisman and others use 'juge.com', an OS/2 BBS located in Texas. It's a different user interface but very 'standard' as BBS used to be written. :-) Doc's is sometimes offline for a half hour to an hour (I'm guessing that is for maintenance purposes) but I haven't noticed it being offline more lately than it has been at any other time. The obvious advantage to using either Doc's or Juge is that you are up/downloading to the same BBS most other echo participants are using and can therefore avoid the 'fido lag' of BBS further down 'the pipe'. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > <| |> __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ....
