CS> Seriously, hard to say. Could be your Office 2000 CD developed a bad CS> spot or it may have been the drive. Did you try copying the files to CS> the hard drive and install Office 2000 that way? What I did Charles, was to feed as required, the asked files when Office 2K was in the process of being initialized. It would stop and say why...this or that file could not be found. I would LAN move it from the Thinkpad G-41 that had a running install of O2K. The instal would then proceed for a few steps and stop again asking for another file, one of them was "Outlook.ttf" (???), many .dlls. It finally ran to completion. So, I do not think that the Office 2K was at fault as all the files were from the Windows -> System32 folder and these are loaded by XP. I did not note how many were missing but I would say about 15. That was a little pain as I could not move the files, one by one, without shutting the loading of Office 2K, with all that that it entails. Be good. Again in Kamouraska !
