TW>JP> It is not a fight, Tom. If you start from a clean HD, the two TW>JP> .wpa files are not there and MS will honour your activation as for a TW>JP> new system. I know, I have done it a few times now for my own use TW>JP> and for others. This OEM redo of day before yesterday was so smooth TW>JP> the validation was not even seen but you and I know that it is in a TW>JP> Dell CMOS. Doing my own system, I only had to click on : This system TW>JP> is always connected to internet and it took over from there, TW>JP> connected to MS and was done in a wink. Did not hurt at all. TW> Not so from the infoirmation I have for an install from a Retail box TW> edition. IF I format and re-install the system the internet activatio TW> nwil lbe Rejected and I will have to Phone in and Explain the TW> circumstances. IF the "Talking Head" at Microsoft has had a good day TW> he/she will give yuo an Activation key. Tom, you know not where of you speak. I have gone through that procedure of installing a new HD in place of a cratered HD (with XP on it), installing the same XP on the new drive, phoning in and telling them what happened and got it revalidated with no problem what so ever.
