I'm not sure why that was necessary, but anway I'm back up RF>and running, with TWO wireless cards. :-) I've had somewhat similar problems here with my older DLink "B" setup. I decided to try out the WPA capabilities provided by the latest firmware for the router and XP's Zero Configuration (the DLink utility doesn't provide WPA, only WEP). After a bit of swearing and router and computer reboots, I got it working. That might have been fine for the desktop which is always on but the laptops both couldn't reconnect after coming out of suspend. A router power cycle usually fixed the problem but who wants to reboot the router, which is upstairs, every time a laptop comes online? I went back to WEP and all is fine. I just need to get equipment that was set up for WPA in the first place. Now if I can just pry some money loose from my (working) sugar mamma's hands. She thinks food and electricity are more important... --- *Durango b211 * DurangoMail for Windows NT/9x * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
