All of the settings in both the AP and wireless utility were correct, and remembering that I had dropped the card, I assumed it was damaged. I found and ordered a replacement, which upon arrival exhibited the same behavior as the supposedly damaged one. Since the other system on the wireless segment was working properly, I decided it must be a setting. It was and it wasn't. As it turned out, while the settings were correct, a reboot of the AP was not enough. I had to remove encryption and access control, and then a connection was established. RE-entering the removed settings on the AP and wireless utility then returned the original setup. I'm not sure why that was necessary, but anway I'm back up and running, with TWO wireless cards. :-) Regards, Robert Fowler ....
