Sure, Jean. One of the rules for spelling taught grammar school kids is
"i before e, except after c" (field, wield, etc.). For the most part
this is true, but there are exceptions such as above (weird - not i
before e here - and society - i does come before e even if after c in
this word. There are many other exceptions to both rules.

By the way, I have two OCR programs - so no need to send one. Thanks
anyhow. I am seriously looking into a Docupen R700 hand held scanner that
does not need to be attached  to a computer while scanning.
