Well, ya, it's a "Catch-22". You can't run a new OS because the old hardware doesn't support it and you can't run old programs on new hardware because new OS doesn't support it. There is a narrow window of time where things overlap somewhat and then it's time for a paradigm shift. M*i*k*e ....
