From within a dosbox type "dir c:\wordpad*.* /s /p" which will scan your entire C: partition for any file that begins with "wordpad". I see _two_ wordpad.exe files on my W2K install. If you have the extensions turned off in Explorer you may be clicking on the ".inf" file? I always turn the display of file extensions ON for just that reason. :-) TW> Now Note pad works but it is not suitable as the Fonts and TW> other featureds are limited or Non existant. I use EditPad (third party addon) more often than notepad. TW> On my Win98 machihne I used wrodpat almost al the time even TW> thouhg I have both OpenOffice 1.1 and Wordperfect 8.0 as I TW> don't need all the Fluff they have. And I can almost Open TW> Wordpar, Write my Short Notre and close Wiordpad before TW> Open Office is finished opening .Wordperfect is a but TW> faster but still slow because it is so bloated. Wordpad became a mini-MSWord over time and does load in the blink of an eye. ;-) > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > <| |> __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * .... http://www.devedia.com/dosghost/faf/thefrench.htm * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
