I'm not as well versed on the goings on in the Mac world as Alan is, but I do sense that Steve Jobs is trying to get away from MS and would like to see more Apple software (provided by Apple) available. As a matter of fact, Apple publishes some very good software for the PC platform - (Quicktime, iTunes, etc.). Lots of folks who own iPods also own PCs.
