Subj : Missing My Computer icon To : TOM WALKER From : ED VANCE Date : Mon Sep 26 2005 12:25 am TW>JE>The mystery was finally solved. Someone had renamed the My Computer icon TW>JE>to "Exit". It was in the midst of other icons on the desktop. After a TW>JE>lot of looking, trying all sorts of suggestions I noticed the "Exit" TW>JE>icon and wondered "What on earth could that be for?" Clicked on it and TW>JE>there was the My Computer data. Renamed it to My Computer and all was TW>JE>well. TW> DO you let grandchildren PLAY with your Computer??? TW>Incidently for Win98 I havew a EXIT Icon on my computer it is a shortcut TW>that replaces "Start/Shutdown/YES I really want to do it". Tom, What file would I place in the Properties section of a Shortcut to Simplify shutting down. What I use now to shut down is ALT-F4 and Enter.
