Locally, there are a lot of English-language users who sometimes need a few 
accented French letters (elementary school teachers who teach French in grades 
5-7, for instance)... my recommendation is to write the half dozen or so key 
combinations needed onto a sticky note an put in on a corner of the monitor. 
Much easier than going back and forth in CHARMAP, for instance.

I keep a more complete list posted in my computer lab for the bright kids who 
are wondering how to do copyright symbols, degree marks, and more-- there are 
always a few of these popping up. Last year, I had a student who was named 
Joel, with two dots over the e. (Or was it two dots over the 'o' ?)
