 TW> I tried the listing in the Start/Programs and NOTHING.
 TW> I searched out the .EXE and tried it and Nothing.

        It is there as it is loaded by default. Look in :

  Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Bingo ! You have a choice of
  Notepad or Wordpad.

        Believe me, it is there.  Or go to : Start -> Run and type
  Notepad in the dialogue that comes up.
