Maybe you just need to break down and buy one.  Or get your son-in-law to buy
it for you.

I keep thinking I ought to buy one to start a migration.  linux isn't working
for me since the RAID drivers aren't supported in anything newer than Red Hat
9, an obsolete release.  Either way I'd need to come up with new software so
it's a wash except for price...
