I was thinking that I would have to use the "Add/Remove Hardware" applet (on WinXPP) to 'disconnect' the printer from LPT1. I may also have to go into Control Pannel -> Printer and Faxes to delete the printer there (if removing the hardware doesn't remove the printer drivers). Then, there is the possibility that the hidden Canoni550 folder will have to have all the attributes changed recursively and then delete the folder with contents. I'm wondering if I have to use RegEdit to remove all references to Canon, Canoni550, etc.? GM>> One thing that I'm curious about: Will the print server have a MAC GM>> address? JG> Yup. Each and every device that is attached to the network *must* JG> have a hardware (MAC) address that uniquely identifies the attachment. I had my suspicions that was the case, but you know, search as I might, I could NOT find a hardware (MAC) address for the D-Link DSS-5+ switch (at least, my Router configuration manager is not providing one)... Thanks ... Gerald .... I'd like a small nuclear reactor as a kitchen appliance. --- GoldED+/DPMI32 v1.1.5-040330 [msg of September 23, 2005] * Origin: A mouse is falcon food, not an input device!
