The size of the room isn't the JE>determining factor for good images. Projector to screen distance is the JE>main factor, then xxxx x xxx, then screen size, then lumens. Remember, JE>the audience does not have to be between the projector and screen. The JE>projector can be in front of the audience, JE>From all I have been able to determine, nothing less than 2000 lumens JE> and XGA (1024 x 768) but preferably SXGA (1400 x 1050) will suffice. I was thinking of the 1400 x 1050 as about right. That correlates with the Hollywood Digital Standard that is being set for smaller Theatres of 2048 x 1080, That is Wide screen of course. And as a note of trivia the Bigger Theatres use a 4096 x 2160 as their standard for Digital Projection. Now for the Camera Club that wants to be the First Kid on to Block sim2 has just released a Three Chip DLP Front Projection unit. Tt is a little pricey at $17995 but is designed for the Serious Home Theature crowd. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
