Subj : Missing My Computer icon To : TOM WALKER From : JAY EMRIE Date : Mon Sep 19 2005 02:55 pm TW>JE>The mystery was finally solved. Someone had renamed the My Computer icon TW>JE>to "Exit". It was in the midst of other icons on the desktop. After a TW>JE>lot of looking, trying all sorts of suggestions I noticed the "Exit" TW>JE>icon and wondered "What on earth could that be for?" Clicked on it and TW>JE>there was the My Computer data. Renamed it to My Computer and all was TW>JE>well. TW> DO you let grandchildren PLAY with your Computer??? Tom, remember it wasn't my computer. Also, since the owner is not married, I doubt that it was caused by grand kids. TW>Incidently for Win98 I have a EXIT Icon on my computer it is a shortcut TW>that replaces "Start/Shutdown/YES I really want to do it". TW>--- TW> þ SLMR 2.1a þ You made that icon, didn't you? It doesn't exist on this 98 system. Jay --- þ OLXWin 1.00a þ Gravity doesn't exist. The Earth sucks. * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
