Nope, for 600-700 one wouldn't get much - at least for our purposes. I just used that figure for a low end reference point. These projectors START getting decent at around 1K, considerably better at $1,500 and quite good at 2K. "More better" for the buck, higher than that. I had thought about the plasma - but and it is a big BUT - We have no place to store such a thing and I seriously doubt that any of us would volunteer to keep it at our home and lug it back and forth each meeting night.
