JP>We are stuck with this. Why I could not instal Office 2000 JP>when I had it on that system before, is really beyond me. My JP>daughter who gets all stuff from MS free, offered to give me a copy JP>of Office XP but as XP will not load the proper data now, I do not JP>think that I could use it. Worth a try ? We're only "stuck" if we stay with Windows. Voting with our dollars is about the only way to attempt to make a change. Yeah, I suppose an upgrade attempt to Office XP could be worth a try. Dunno if I'd expect success, however... JP>In this last episode, I also thought of doing a Restore. No JP>way. All my restore points had been taken out. I have noticed this JP>before, what removes them ? My Restore is validated, at 12% on the JP>OS HD, ie: 4.5 Megs. I just had a look and even if I have redone JP>this system only yesterday, no Point was made, I created one. I've only used this feature once or twice so I'm no expert. I believe that restore points are wiped out if you turn off the feature and then turn it back on. It may be that a repair attempt may also wipe them out. I'm out of my league here. --- *Durango b211 * DurangoMail for Windows NT/9x * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
