We're only "stuck" if we stay with Windows.  Voting with our dollars is about
the only way to attempt to make a change.

Yeah, I suppose an upgrade attempt to Office XP could be worth a try.  Dunno
if I'd expect success, however...

I've only used this feature once or twice so I'm no expert.  I believe that
restore points are wiped out if you turn off the feature and then turn it back
on.  It may be that a repair attempt may also wipe them out.  I'm out of my
league here.
