One of the major things that irritates the bejeezus out of me is the way MS decided to litter the OS directories with application-specific files. It's just absolutely the wrong thig to do - leave the OS alone and make it bulletproof. Application files do NOT need to be mixed in with the OS, even if they're idifferent versions. The application can be coded to look in it's own location first (or only).
