You won't be able to use PAN at either DOC's Place, Juge.com, or BBSNets as they only accept download\upload in QWK packet format which PAN does not support. If you can get PAN working, you might want to access Ross' server "The E-Star". Once he gets you setup with a userid and password you'll be able to download\upload FIDO as news messages in PAN or Agent (as I'm doing right now). If you're asking about telnet to DOC's Place, Jay should be able to help you out there. I don't use DOC's Place at all. When I telnet, I use Juge.com in Houston, TX (Sugarland). If DOC's Place is anything at all like Juge.com, it's really very simple to setup an account via telnet and begin downloading\uploading just like dial up. Of course you need a good telnet client first. I recommend using either Hyperterminal PE (free) or NetTerm (payware).
