Nope-- I've been dinged with duty and/or GST (7% goods and services tax on the 
declared value, for the non-CDN readers), and possibly a processing fee. I've 
always requested a copy of the form to dispute these fees, and in some cases, 
had them refunded... but when demanded, it's necessary to pay them in order to 
get the package.

I HAVE noticed the new fuel surcharge on packages I've sent via Canada Post.
