Andy Hertzfeld, the guy you're referring to, seems like an interesting guy-- he played a major role in the initial Mac development, for which he developed the Toolbox-- the collection of tools built into the Mac that made it possible to program for its graphical interface, and developed a number of the original set of 'desk accessories'-- little programs bundled with it. After leaving Apple, he was a founder of General Magic, and Radius. For those who prefer reading to watching/listening, he's written a book on the creation of the Mac, including many anecdotes from his experience and from others from the development team: Revolution in the Valley. Much of the content is available online at: www.folklore.org. Either way, he tells a good story. ....
