Never say "never". :-) 

Keep in mind that 'Vistas' (Longhorn) has some extreme minimum
hardware requirements that will put quite a few existing
systems into the used market one day soon when those who must
live on the "bleeding edge" scramble to buy newer more
expensive equipment. :-) 

The wonder system of today will be the garage sale special of
tomorrow.
