I'm not sure of SQ> As Dr. Smith on "Lost in Space" would say, "Oh, the pain...the pain." SQ> I'm not very fond of doing IP with DOS. I'll try this if I run out of SQ> options, but won't leap into it right away. :-) Don't blame you, but I use basically the same setup and have toyed with Argus but can't seem to get it the way I want it, eh, oh well... I'm anxiously waiting for the next release of ViaMail which should solve the telnet mailer-to-mailer problem. bh> the internals of NT, but if you can run a DOS batch file bh> IREX should do the trick, but I believe the only Windows bh> version Charles Cruden has released is for 95/98. SQ> Using that now. What I want to do, though, is use Argus to move mail SQ> around via Telnet (which Irex cannot do). I can run Argus in another SQ> window while Irex is doing its work, but if Irex finishes before Argus SQ> does, I'm toast. In REXCFGW, check the 'Connecting to the Net' options, make sure the Auto Hangup says NO, this should prevent REX from hanging up the phone. Also, instead of using any default batch files that come with REX (I believe there was 1 or 2, but I don't have them anymore, I deleted them), create one thusly, I named mine rexmail.bat: (insert mail tosser options here if applicable) REXW -fetchsend 1:XXX/XXX(insert host numbers here) (insert mail tosser options here if applicable) and that's it, you may have to experiment with using -fetch -send or -fetchsend, some people have reported one way works and not the other, who knows why, but this is what works for me, your mileage may vary :) Also, if using the batch file I mentioned above, make sure you're already connected to the net, or again experiment, in the above example REX doesen't dial out or disconnect (I have the Auto Dial turned off also since I'm DSL and have a constant connection), but as long as the Auto Dial is ON, REX should dial out and make it's transfers, just not hang up the phone when it's done. Again, not familiar with the internals of NT, if you have an InterNet Options in the control panel you may wish to check the 'idle time to disconnect' feature and set it to an appropriate time limit, maybe 20-30 minutes depending on your needs? Please let me know if you have any other questions or problems and I'll try and help best I can, do let me know how it goes. Best of luck, Bennie ....
