Subj : Win98SE install? I was again asked to supply a CJ>emergency disk. I again declined and again NT4 setup stated CJ>that it could not find any NT4 installation. Mark my word: CJ>the NTFS (J:) and DOS (C:) partitions was *visible*, i.e. CJ>unhidden. Still NT4 Setup couldn't find my installation. Sometimes the NT4 setup program chokes when the partition where you had the NT installation resides beyond 2 Gigs. What boot manager were you using at the time? CJ>But on another tack.... When I've installed NT4 anew and CJ>brought it up to fixpack #6a level. I'm about to get a new CJ>box here. Is there any way that I can "lift over" my NT4 CJ>installation onto the new box without doing a total CJ>reinstall from scratch? Should be able to do it with Norton Ghost or Powerquest's Drive Image. Neither program is inexpensive, but you can download a full working trail copy of Norton Ghost from the Symantec WEB site. I've successfully copied my NT4 installation and data from a smaller hard drive to a larger one without difficulty using Drive Image. cscag@flash.net CMPQwk 1.42 1262 --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) .
