The big feature advertised at the time of SE's release was Internet Connection Sharing... if there's no need for that, and if not trying to use USB devices that insist on 98SE (or later), there's not much need to upgrade. By the way, there was no simple upgrade path released-- it's not like just downloading a service pack for instance-- it requires getting a full Win98SE CD and re-installing Windows. That can be done in a way that 'respects' existing application intallations and Windows settings, but it's still a full Windows reinstall. ....
