Well... if you say that your computer doesn't go on the internet, then those two programs aren't necessary. I can't think of anything else except a DEFRAG and SCANDISK as part of a regular maintenance run to help make the hdd more efficient. But maybe you have a lot of other running process that causing the slown. Can you give us a list of what you have running in memory?
