Subj : Recycle Bin From Dos Mod To : NEALL MERCADO From : CHARLES ANGELICH Date : Sun Jul 28 2002 07:13 pm 12357063e8c9 win32 Hello Neall - JF>> I have a program called Recover4All that will undelete JF>> files but it's got a few warts of its own. (one being that JF>> it puts recovered files in the root directory of whatever JF>> drive you choose) CA>> I had found an undelete and I really think it came from CA>> Microsoft? NM> How about the good 'ole MS-DOS `undelete.exe' file? I have reservations that MSDOS v6.22 undelete.exe may not read the larger FAT32 drives and I can't locate a newer W9x MSDOS undelete.exe here anywhere. The program I found pops up a box and lists all the files it can undelete with creation dates and size displayed for you. You highlight one or as many as you wish then it undeletes them. This is many times more useful than just a name with the first letter missing and a "Y/N" prompt. ;-) NM> It works for me...in Windows9x. I just restart Windows in NM> DOS mode, issue a "lock" command, and run the DOS undelete NM> program. Then voila! those deleted files are back again. NM> Even those files in the recycle bin that have been flushed NM> out from Windows can be recovered. I use undelete.exe on my DOS and W31 systems. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > <| www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost |> __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * .... 3 things are certain: Death, taxes, and lost data.
