Subj : Windows Registry error To : All From : Bennie Hutto Date : Sun Oct 07 2001 07:08 pm Hello everybody. On one of my computers (not on a network) is beginning to give me this error on boot-up: "Unable to access Windows Registry. Windows needs to restart to repair this error" This is happening with almost every restart. This machine was recently infected with the W32.Nimba virus and according to the Symantec Nimba remove tool and Mcafee Viruscan (yes, updated), the machine is now clean of the virus (and MAN was it a pain to clean it). Is there a way to find out exactly what is causing this and how to solve it? Hopefuly without formatting the HD and reinstalling. I have reinstalled most everything, Windows98SE, Office 2000, ect... but not with a fresh format. Suggestions? Thanks!
