I offered to send him a WIN32 SDK and Visual DR>> C++ so that he could make it work in Windows NT. I never heard back DR>> from him. I moved to different software and lost interest. > > I have spoken with Dedrick Allen via ICQ and he promises a Win2k > version, but with no projected alpha/beta release date. :-( That is his name. He told me the same thing about Windows NT. I think that BBSsing has become less important to him. Nothing wrong with that. DR>> At work I use another product for comport redirection to DR>> IP address and it works well in Windows NT. > > What might that be, pray tell? Will it work under 2k? Yes it works under Windows 2k. The name of the software. I forget, it was provided by Lantronix http://www.lantronix.com I used it with their cobox product. I tested different serial software and it worked as advertised. I will fire up my laptop a little later and see what the name of the software is. You might find it at thier web site. I do not think they offer it as a seperate product. > Are you familiar with a program called VCOM? Just wondering if > you knew of it... I know the name VCOM. I THINK I have it. I don't think it will work in Windows NT or Windows 2000. If you don't mind I'd like to have it yes. You can email it to me dale@harborwebs.com or send it to me via BinkP. Or put it on hold and I can poll and pick it up from you. DR>> You might ask about general use of COM/IP in NTHELP. There could be DR>> someone there that can help. I will ask around. > > I might do that, and I GREATLY appreciate the help and interest, Dale. NTHELP has a good group of people Dale ....
