Is the least expensive way to make it work by using a DS>second nic in the server and a single nic in the client computer. Hook DS>the cable modem to the first nic in the server. Connect the server and DS>client together with a standard hub and Winroute lite? DS>Or would a router and a second IP from the cable provider work better?? DS>Or could a cross over cabel be used instead of a hub? Cheapest way is to add network cards to both machines and use a crossover cable along with ICS (requires Win98SE or W2K) or Winroute/Wingate freebies. Best way is to use a cable/DSL router that picks up the IP from the ISP and plug both machines into it (the router performs DHCP for the internal network and allows both machines to be seen to the ISP as a single unit, the router). Wireless routers are becoming cheaper and I'm starting to look that way for a future upgrade... ___ *Durango b211 * DurangoMail for Windows NT/9x --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: COMM Port OS/2 juge.com 204.89.247.1 (281) 980-9671 (1:106/2000) .
